Journalist union calls off second 48-hour strike at BBC
The National Union of Journalists has agreed to call off a planned 48 hour strike at the BBC next Monday and Tuesday in return for talks regarding three employees who were disciplined after walking out. The BBC says that it is happy that the strike has been called off, but that it will not change its offer. The network says that it will only clarify its pension offer, not change it. The NUJ's 4,100 BBC members voted to reject the final offer from the BBC in October.
