Greek Public Transport Workers Set to Strike Tomorrow to Protest Wage Cuts
Greek public transportation workers will strike tomorrow as part of a protest against reorganization and wage and bonus cuts. The Greek Civil Servants Confederation (ADEDY) is holding a rally in Athens today to coincided with a visit from the managing director ofthe International Monetary Fund. The changes the workers are protesting are part of conditions imposed by the IMF and the European Union in return for bailing out the country. ADEDY and the General Confederation of Labor will hold a 24 hour general strike against austerity measures on December 15.
