Amid Strike. Finnair Signals Restructuring
Flight attendants for Finnair, a Finnish airline, are on strike. The airline canceled over 100 flights on Tuesday, with more than 200 expected to be canceled on Wednesday. The strike is over a plan for the airline to increase the number of long-haul flights, while decreasing the amount of rest time cabin crews get after each flight. The airline says that those changes, and other restructuring plans are necessary for the airline to survive. The airline also said that the strike will likely lead them to have a loss in profits this year. The flight attendants say that they will remain on strike until the airline gives in.
