Greek seamen end strike after government order
The Greek government ordered the Panhellenic Seamen's Federation (PNO) to end an eight day strike on Tuesday. the strike was disrupting passenger transportation and shipping. The PNO said that the government was not committed to finding another solution for the strike. the strike was over efforts to reduce Greek debt, which has led to layoffs and wage changes. The seamen also blocked ports during the summer, which hurt Greece's tourism industry as well as shipping.
