Tourists trapped in Chile due to fuel price strikes
A strike prompted by the Chilean government's plan to increase gas prices has left thousands of foreign tourists trapped in the South American nation, some for the better part of a week. There is some dispute as to the continuation of the blockades associated with the strike, with demonstrators claiming that tourists should now be able to travel to neighboring Argentina in spite of reports indicating that the border is still impassable.
