As protests continued in Wisconsin on Thursday, a new development changed the time line of the bill. The 14 Democratic Senators, one of whom is needed to have a quorum to vote on the bill, disappeared. The Senate leaders had the capitol police looking for the missing Senators, who say that they are in secure locations, and that they will not come back until changes are made. The Senators say that the vote is rushed, and they at least want more debate before a vote. Protesters, who are still pouring into the capitol, are not leaving, with many bringing sleeping bags to stay. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka is expected to speak at a rally on Friday. The Governor maintains that he is only trying to balance his budget, not attack unions, but none of the protesters, unions leaders or Democrats seem to be buying the story, calling the bill an attack on unions.
