Italy's general strike hits mass transit
Members of Italy's largest labor confederation struck in Italy on Friday to pressure the government to create more jobs and reform the tax system. The unions say that the government has not kept their promise to create jobs, and that they should work to tax people who evade taxes, not increase the burden on workers. The strike affected buses, trains, air travel, banks and schools. Rallies were held in cities across Italy.
