S. Africa union declares wage dispute in oil sector
South African union Solidarity says that it has declared a wage dispute in negotiations in the petroleum sector. The union said that they were asking for a 13% wage increase, but that the employers were only willing to give a 6% increase. The union says that talks are also around travel and housing allowances. If further talks are unsuccessful, workers may strike.
