CDC: Miners, construction, food workers smoke most
A new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that construction workers, miners and food service workers are the most likely to smoke. The authors of the report, which surveyed more than 113,000 workers over six years, say that the reason for the prevalence might have to do with education, age, wages, as well as working conditions that allow for smoking. The study found that 19.6% of working adults smoke, but that 30% in the mining, construction and food service industries smoke.
