Ruling Favors US Airways
A federal judge has ruled against the US Airline Pilots Association, stopping them from orchestrating a work slowdown. US Airways says that the union's actions have led to delays and cancellations, and is a tactic for negotiations. The union has denied that any slowdowns are taking place, and says that the airline wants pilots to fly unsafe airplanes, and is penalizing pilots who bring up safety concerns. The judge said that he could not hold the union leader responsible for the slowdown, but barred them from encouraging interference with flights. US Airways said that they were pleased with the ruling.
