86% of Workers Obese or Have Other Health Issue
A new Gallup poll finds that only 1 in 7 U.S. workers are not obese or have a chronic health problem. The poll found that those who were overweight or obese were more likely to miss work, and that chronic health problems were even more of a factor. According to Gallup, as much as 450 million days of work are missed each year by workers with these problems, which is an estimated $513 million loss to the economy.
