Brazil Oil Workers Plan Petrobras Strike As Soon As Nov. 16
Workers at Brazilian state-run oil company Petrobras may strike before November 16. The Brazilian Oil workers Federation says that workers rejected a deal on October 31, and if the company does not give them a new offer by November 10, workers will walk out. The union says that 90% of the workers have already approved a strike. The workers are asking the company to increase wages and benefits, citing the country's growth and higher prices for local goods. The workers also want the company to end outsourcing. The last strike at Petrobras took place in 2008.
