NLRB to Consider Speedier Union Votes
The National Labor Relations Board has scheduled a vote on a rule change for November 30. The proposed change would decrease the time between when a petition for union representation is filed and when an election takes place. The Board currently has three members, the minimum needed to make rule changes or rule on disputes. Opponents to the change say that the Board is overstepping its power.
