Occupy protesters try to disrupt ports; police make arrests
Protesters affiliated with the Occupy movement were successful in shutting down ports on the West Coast on Monday. After disrupting ports in several cities during the day, protesters shut down the Oakland, CA. port on Monday night. Port authorities say that the protests have disrupted workers and caused some problems, and could result in increased costs for some. Unions told workers to stay home due to the protests, and distanced themselves from the protesters.
