Two Nigerian unions suspend strike after president cuts fuel prices
Nigeria's two largest union federations, the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress, have suspended a nationwide strike after the government announced that it would cut fuel prices. The strike began after the Nigerian government ended fuel subsidies, increasing the price of fuel and others goods. However, others are urging the protesters to continue until the government restores the fuel subsidies to their previous level. The government had said that they needed to end the fuel subsidy for economic reasons.
