Congress looks to federal workers' pay and benefits as sources for trimming government costs
After Congress froze federal workers' pay and increased their pension costs to help pay for an unemployment benefits extension, some are saying that they have already contributed enough, and that Congress should stop. However, some legislators have proposed bills that would further limit the wages and benefits of federal employees. The unions that represent federal employees say that they have given enough, and that there are only so many cuts that workers can endure.
