Warming Up to the Officeless Office
Companies looking to cut costs are trying new tactics, including getting rid of traditional office spaces in favor of a less formal and more adaptable workspace. Workers share desks or tables, saving companies space and money. Employers also say that unassigned work spaces can also lead to more collaboration among employees, as well as fewer emails. The practice is more prevalent in companies where workers are often not in the office. While many like the change, others say that the lack of personal space led them to be less organized and that it took them longer to set up every day.
