Hostess workers counter bankruptcy court proposal
Hostess says that it will ask a bankruptcy court to throw out its union contracts if workers do not accept the company's final offer. The union says that they do not think that they will come to an agreement, and if the judge throws out the contracts, the workers will strike. The unions said that they sent the company a proposal over the weekend, but do not expect to hear back. The company says that they need to cut costs to remain in business, and that reducing pension costs, as well as work rule changes are necessary.
