Judge Rejects New Rule on Union Organizing
A federal judge has ruled on new rules passed by the National Labor Relations Board last year. The judge ruled that the changes, which would have changed the process for elections to end some delays, was invalid due to the lack of a quorum. One member of the Board did not vote on the rule, and because of that, the rule is invalid. The judge said that the ruling did not reflect on the legality of the rule itself. The Board currently has five members, after the President used recess appointments to fill vacant seats.
