Four workers sue carwash owners over job conditions
Four Los Angeles car wash workers filed a lawsuit against a group of owners, claiming that they were denied overtime pay and breaks. The suit is the latest in a series of lawsuits aimed at improving standards in the industry. In January, the Attorney General announced a settlement in a lawsuit in favor of workers at eight car washes across the state, for many of the same offenses detailed in the new lawsuit. The workers and their supporters say that they are fighting to make the industry a better place to work for everyone.
