Lockheed, machinists reach tentative agreement
Two months after beginning a strike, Lockheed Martin workers will vote on a new agreement this week. The 3,600 Texas workers will vote on the new offer, which the union says is revised from the previous offers and was endorsed by the bargaining committee. Workers went on strike in April after rejecting a contract offer that included higher health care costs and changes to pensions. Lockheed has been using temporary replacement workers to run its plants, which produce fighter jets for the military.
