A federal judge has blocked a Michigan law that would prohibit school districts from collecting union dues. Opponents of the law said that they were happy with the judge's decision, and think that the law will be ruled unconstitutional. Supporters say that the law is to protect school districts, and that unions should not be allowed to collect money through the schools. Union officials say that the law is an attack on them and that it has nothing to do with saving money. Similar laws around the country have been challenged, including in Wisconsin, where one was ruled unconstitutional.
