ADP Says U.S. Companies Added 176,000 Workers In June
A new report shows that the number of private sector jobs added in June was higher than expected. The report found an increase of 176,000 and a revised gain of 136,000 for last month, higher than reported. Economists had predicted a gain of about 100,000 jobs. A report from the Labor Department also showed a decrease in the number of people filing for unemployment benefits. Economists say that the jobs numbers are indicative of the continuing slow economic recovery. The Labor Department will release its jobs report for July tomorrow.
