Arbitrator's report will help CTU bring back issues they wanted to discuss at negotiations
An arbitrator's report for the Chicago schools recommended raises for teachers, about 35% over four years. The teachers' union said that they agreed that their members deserve raises, but were examining the rest of the report before accepting it. If the union rejects the report, teachers can strike after thirty days. The school district is expected to reject the report on Wednesday. Chicago had proposed raises of 2% in return for lengthening the school day.
