GM workers in Colombia sew mouths shut in protest
Former General Motors workers in Colombia have been on a hunger strike for nine days. The workers, who say that they were fired from the company after suffering injuries and are asking for compensation, have sewn their mouths shut. The workers protested outside of the US embassy for a year before deciding to begin the hunger strike. The company says that the men's claims are false, and that they are not owed anything. So far 7 workers have sewn their mouths shut, and workers say more will follow every week.
