Union says new contract better than alternative for flight attendants
The Association of Professional Flight Attendants, which represents the flight attendants at American Airlines, says that it is asking members to approve a proposed new contract. The union says that the offer is better than what a bankruptcy court judge could impose. The vote comes after the pilots rejected a contract offer and the judge declined to throw out their contract, a move American Airlines is now appealing. Voting will end on August 19.
