Colombia's coal railway calls workers to vote on strike Monday
A Colombian coal railway whose workers have been on strike for 18 days has asked workers to vote on Monday to end the strike. The union that represents the workers says that only union members can end the strike, and that the company cannot call a vote on the issue. The company says that they want workers to vote to send the dispute to arbitration. The strike began after negotiations over pay and working conditions broke down, and has limited coal exports from Colombia, causing prices to rise slightly.
