Independent Young Workers Favor Small Businesses
New surveys show that younger workers are more likely to start their own businesses and to work at smaller businesses. About 47% of those surveyed said that they worked at companies with fewer than 100 employees. The survey found that younger workers liked the autonomy, were willing to take a risk on a smaller business and were also more interested in companies that had some benefit to society. However, the data also showed that younger workers at small businesses were slightly less satisfied than their counterparts at larger companies.
