Inland Empire warehouse workers walk off job, protest conditions
Over 30 California warehouse workers walked off the job on Wednesday, in a protest against their working conditions. The workers, whose warehouse stores good for major retailers, including Wal-Mart, say that they work with faulty equipment, high temperatures and other unsafe conditions. A representative for the workers said that they had exhausted all of their options before walking out. Problems with working conditions in warehouses, especially those supplying retailers like Wal-Mart have come up more frequently over the past year, with fines for working conditions and reports detailing the poor conditions.
