Nintendo checking underage workers at Wii plant
Nintendo says that it will investigate a statement made by a Chinese supplier of its Wii video game console that underage workers were used at a plant. Foxconn, the supplier, says that underage interns were used at its plant, but that once their ages were discovered they were sent back to school. Nintendo says that they require their producers to follow all labor laws, and that they require them to modify procedures to meet those policies. Foxconn is one of the largest technology producers in China and has faced scrutiny for its labor practices in producing for Apple as well as other companies.
