Wal-Mart Sued in Tennessee by Women Workers Claiming Bias
Three Wal-Mart workers from Tennessee filed a lawsuit against the company, alleging discrimination against female employees in five states. The women are seeking to represent female employees in five southern states, who they say were paid less than men in comparable jobs and blocked for promotions. The lawsuit is the third regional discrimination claim against Wal-Mart since the Supreme Court rejected a nation-wide class action last year.
