Wal-Mart workers tell Street about hard work, low pay
Walmart employees spoke out about their labor conditions at a meeting with Wall Street analysts in Arkansas. The meeting, organized by the United Food and Commercial Workers union. Workers talked about the unsafe working conditions and low wages that they face, and the problems they cause for the company. Walmart employs about 1.4 million people in the United States. In Illinois, demonstrators gathered outside of a Walmart distribution center where workers went on strike September 15 over wage theft and discrimination issues.
