3 managers arrested after deadly Bangladesh factory fire
Three managers from a Bangladeshi factory where over a 100 workers were killed in a fire last week have been arrested. The police said that the managers locked the gate of the factory, hindering attempts to escape from the fire. Thousands have continued to protest against the fire, and are calling for a investigation of the fire. The factory was a producer for Wal-Mart, among other brands. Wal-Mart says that it had not approved the subcontracting of work to the factory and no longer did business with the supplier. The prime minister said that the fire, as well as another one on Monday were part of a string of arson incidents.
