Student Workers at Hershey Facility Win Back Wages
Three companies who placed foreign students at a Hershey facility and overcharged them for housing will pay back wages to the students. Two companies will also pay fines for violations. The companies will pay $213,042 to 1,028 students. Students at the facility protested in august 2011 over the jobs, saying that they had been promised a different experience. The protest and investigation brought up issues around the State Department's visa system and regulations for guest-workers.
