Black Thursday? Stores to open even earlier on Thanksgiving.
Stores like Wal-Mart, Sears and Toys-R-Us are planning on opening even earlier on Thanksgiving, getting a head start on Black Friday shopping. For the workers at those stores, it means leaving their families on the holiday to go into work. Stores began opening on Thanksgiving last year, sparking protests from both employees and shoppers, and this year seems no different. Target employees started a petition to stop the store from opening and Wal-Mart workers are planning protests for Black Friday. The workers say that the stores are starting earlier and earlier, and that there will not be any time left. The stores say that people want to shop, and that the move makes sense.
