Machinists' union workers at Bombardier Learjet plant approve new contract, ending strike
Workers at a Wichita Bombardier Learjet plant have approved a new five-year contract, ending a month-long strike. The company said that they are happy that the workers approved the contract and wanted to more forward. The International Association of Machinists, which represents the workers, said that they were also happy to have reached an agreement and end to the strike. The workers went on strike after rejecting a contract offer similar to the one they accepted. The main sticking point was health care costs, which were reduced for employees.
