E.E.O.C. Finds Race Bias in Firing at Wet Seal Store
On Monday, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said that it found that Wet Seal had discriminated against an employee because of their race. A manager was fired from the store after executives complained about the number of black employees. The manager filed a complaint with the EEOC after she and two other former managers filed a discrimination lawsuit against the company last year. The EEOC said that it found evidence that the company created a hostile work environment, and would seek a resolution through negotiations.
