JFK Security Workers OK Strike as Holiday Travelers Pay More to Fly
Over 300 security guards at John F. Kennedy airport in New York City have voted to strike beginning December 20. The workers are employed by outside contractors, and say that they want better training and equipment. The workers are also asking for an increase in wages. The contractor that employs the workers says that they are open to discussions. The strike comes during the busiest travel time of the year.
