Manufacturing companies using technology since recession to replace white-collar workers too
Manufacturers are using technology to replace white collar workers in an effort to cut costs. While most had used technological advances to replace blue-collar workers, they are increasingly cutting administrative costs through new software and internet options. Many companies are more productive than when the recession began, even with fewer workers, making them less likely to rehire employees.
