Postal Service Losing Out on Federal Contracts, Report Finds
A report from the Postal Service finds that they are losing government contracts to private companies. The report found that the Postal Service is losing contracts due to doubts about their staff capacity and strategies. The Postal Service had net losses of $15.9 billion last year, and the report said that the Postal Service cannot afford to lose out on such contracts. Last year, the Postal Service earned $4.8 million of the $336.9 million in federal shipping contracts last year. The Senate passed a bill last year that would have led to 100,000 workers retiring.
