Obama Resubmits Appointees for Labor Board
On Wednesday, President Obama asked the Senate to confirm two appointments to the National Labor Relations Board. The two had previously been appointed during a recess, a move that a federal appeals court ruled was unconstitutional last month. Without the two appointees, the Board would only have one member, below the three-person quorum necessary to make decisions. The Board says that it will continue operating while it appeals the federal court's decision.
