Companies Offer Workers More Incentives for Health Changes
As employers look to lower health care costs, a new survey found that they are more likely to use incentives to try and get employees to make healthier choices. The incentives may mean rewards for healthy choices or penalties for smoking or being overweight. About 83% of companies in the survey use some method to try and get employees to improve their health, with more using rewards over penalties. Companies like CVS, PepsiCo and Home Depot are all implementing policies that will track employee health.
