AT&T Wireline Workers Fail to Ratify New Contract
AT&T workers in California and Nevada rejected a contract offer on Thursday. The three-year agreement would have covered about 17,000 workers and included higher wages. Similar contracts were ratified by other AT&T workers in the Midwest, Southeast and Southwest. The employees are represented by the Communications Workers of America, who has said previously that the negotiations were very difficult. The company said that they were disappointed the contract was not ratified.
