Younger Chicago workers seek stability while older colleagues want flexibility
A new survey of workers in the Chicago area has found differences between what older and younger workers want from their jobs. The survey found that younger workers valued full-time employment and benefits more than older workers, and that all workers want more flexible schedules. Workers 26 and younger overwhelmingly said that retirement benefits were important in assessing jobs, while less than half of those over 35 said the same. Over half of those surveyed said that they expected technology to play a greater part in their work.
