Fast-Food Workers Plan Second Strike for More Pay
New York City fast food workers are walking off of the job on Thursday in protest of low wages. This will mark the second time that the fast food workers, who first struck in November, have walked out. Workers are pressuring employers to pay workers more than the minimum wage, which they say is not enough to live on, especially not in New York City. Fast food owners say that they cannot afford to pay workers more. About 400 workers are expected to engage in the strike.
