Housing lack adds to difficulty finding workers
While Minnesota companies look to expand, prospective workers face difficulties finding housing, a problem that can prevent them from taking jobs. Companies say that finding workers with the skills they need is less of a problem than finding them somewhere to live. In small towns, it can be harder to find developers willing to build housing stock due to risks and low returns in profit.
