It?s Official: Iceland Is The Best Place In the World To Be a Woman
The World Economic Forum recently released a report detailing gender equality in various countries around the world. Iceland has the smallest gender gap from amongst the 136 countries studied, whereas the U.S. ranks in the middle of the pack (#23). Scandinavian countries and the Philippines round out the rest of the top 5. One of the biggest factors in promoting gender equality is institutionalizing work-life balance and creating incentives for men and women to more equally share raising children. Among other major factors is the accessibility of equal education to both men and women.
