Business- funded group springs up to push back on union tactics
In Las Vegas, a business group is using the Culinary Union?s own social media tactics against it. The group, with roots (and possible funding sources) in D.C., has received a lot of media attention for bringing to light the Union?s untraditional tactics. The Alliance to Protect Nevada Jobs, as the group is known, states that their mission is to ?stand up for the workers and small-business owners in the state?. The group?s leaders have heavy Republican-party ties. Whether planned or unplanned, the Culinary Union has changed tactics slightly, opting for sit-ins as opposed to recent picketing events.
