Union protesters to target Yuengling
Labor organizations plan to protest D.G. Yuengling and Son in Pennsylvania because the owner, Dick Yuengling, vocally supports Right-to-Work legislation, which the union members feel is an attack on their right to fairly bargain with their employer. The protest will take place on Saturday and will minimally include members of the AFL-CIO, the Schuylkill County Building and Construction Trades Council, the Lehigh Valley Labor Council, and the Schuylkill County Labor Council. Mr. Yuengling is the fifth-generation owner of the beer producer and backs the local Chamber of Commerce?s call for Right-to-Work legislation despite the Governor?s strong opposition.
