No Dice: Union Plans Casino Strike in Vegas
Two Las Vegas casinos may have just reached a new contract with their unions earlier this week, but strikes are likely to happen at seven others unless new contracts are reached. The strike will involve more than 55,000 workers at 5 AM. The union has vowed to strike 24/7 until agreements are reached. The union went on strike in 1991 for more than six years. The union?s major demands are for a living wage for all workers, containing employee healthcare costs, and more flexible scheduling.
